In 2020, National Taiwan Ocean University has signed a technology transfer contract for “Small Molecule FucoidanHighly Water-Soluble Coating Technology” with the Taiwanese company “ TranslabInternational Co., Ltd.”
Dr. Pai-an Hwang
an associate professor in the Department of Life Sciences and Biotechnology of National Taiwan Ocean University, who specializes in extraction, fermentation and quantitative process development, developed the 2ndgeneration “small molecule fucoidan highly water-soluble coating technology“.
Since 2008, fucoidan products inthe Taiwanese market are mainly in the form of small molecules.
